It is easy to see why this movie will be another hit for the Disney-Pixar team. The animation is wonderful and the characters are great. The themes of hard work, perseverance, working together, friendship and taking care of others is very important in this movie. The monsters are easy to fall in love with and I had several laugh out loud moments. When the movie opens, you see little Mike going on a field trip to Monsters, Inc. where he receives a MU hat. He sets out to join the scare program at Monsters University. Instead of studying history, literature, math, etc. Mike Wazowski reads books such as Scareonomics, Monster Encyclopedia, and The Power of Screams. Mike meets Sulley in class one day and they don't hit it off as friends right away. Mike is serious about his studies while Sulley believes he is just naturally scary and his family name will get him into the program. Through a series of events involving a monster fraternity competition, Mike and Sulley both realize they make a great team and they need each other. One of my favorite quotes from the movie is when Sulley encourages Mike to, "Just reach deep down and let the scary out!"
