Remembering Mom and 10 Reasons Walt Disney World is a great vacation for moms

I didn't want anything for Mother's Day today.  There's nothing wrong with gifts but I miss my mom on this day and I really just wanted to spend time with my family.  My husband took me to the beach and we ate great seafood, played in the sand and remembered our moms who have passed.  So here's to remembering mom.....the two of us at Walt Disney World when I was in college.  We had so much fun that trip with a stay at the Polynesian Resort Hotel.  We even got to ride with the monorail driver which is unfortunately a thing of the past.  We also got front row seating at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review at the Fort Wilderness Resort.  So in remembering mom, I wanted to salute all the great mom's out there this Mother's Day by my top 10 list.

10 Reasons Walt Disney World is a great Vacation Spot for Mom

1.  Let's face it, even laundry is magical at Walt Disney World.  I've done laundry at both the Polynesian and Fort Wilderness Lodge.
2.  With the Disney Dining Plan, mom makes the reservations but does not have to do the dishes.
3.  There's a Fairy Godmother who with the waive of her wand, comes into the room each day and magically makes the mess disappear.
4.  Mom can be the Princess.  All she needs is her crown and a ride on Cinderella's Carousel.
5.  Mom is no longer the chauffeur moving kids from place to place but with Disney's transportation system, she only has to worry about 2 hours after the park closes, it might turn into a pumpkin.
6.  Mom can visit the most romantic place-Eiffel tower in France at Epcot and enjoy a fresh made pastry.
7.  Mom's heart melts when she meets Prince Charming at 1900 Park Fare, Grand Floridian Resort as he greets her with "you look lovely tonight".
8.  Mom gets additional help from Mom at 50's Prime Time Cafe who won't hesitate "doling out table etiquette and punishment to misbehaving boys and girls".
9.  No matter how many kids or if kids have special needs or kids who have an illness, all moms and kids are accepted and expected to have fun. 
10.  Mom loves flowers, desserts, spa treatments, shopping and fireworks and it's all in one place!
